About us
In our sports store in Arosa you will find one of the large ski depots in Arosa. The ski and snowboard rental has six workstations and two check-ins equipped with the Sports Rental software program, so we can quickly and safely adjust your ski equipment.
INTERSPORT Arosa / Luzi Sport – WE MAKE PEOPLE HAPPY!
Overnight we prepare your skis and snowboards with the most modern Montana grinding robots. Rental equipment can be picked up the day before from 4:00 p.m.
And all this at the chairlift Tschuggen Ost, directly at the ski slope, so you can spend more time on the slopes instead of carrying skis!
History
1952Company formation “Engel Sport”
In 1952 Jos Engel founded the sports store “Engel Sport ” in Arosa. The first location was in front of the Tschuggen Ost ski lift, where our SELF-CHECK-IN SKIDEPOT is now located at Seeblickstrasse 11.
1975Sale / Relocation
In 1975, Jos Engel sold the building and the land to Arosa Bergbahnen ABB, at that time Arosa Verkehrsbetriebe AVB. Engel Sport moved to its current location in the Hotel Vetter.
1985Birth of Luzi Sport
In 1985, my grandfather Kaspar Luzi bought the whole property Vetter and Engel Sport. Engel Sport was renamed “Luzi Sport”. Jos Engel taught all his skills and knowledge of ski rental, sales and ski service to my father Fredi Luzi.
2009Foundation of joint stock company
In 2009, the sole proprietorship was transformed into a joint stock company.
201260 years anniversary
In 2012, for the 60th anniversary of the sports store, the whole parking hall and rental was rebuilt, so that we are again up to date with the rental and ski depot.
2013Enlargement / reconstruction
We have invested again: We now have even more drying cabinets! Also we have bought with the partner company Arosa Ski Service AG, a new grinding robot of the company Montana.
2015www.luzisport.ch
In cooperation with the Arosa advertising agency hitschdesign we have realized a new website.
2017Second branch
In the spring of 2017 we took over the sports store Beck Sport – Shop, Sledges, Bikes & E-Bikes Arosa.
2020New Ski depot
Together with the Arosa mountain railroads we open a new ski depot directly at the Tschuggen-Ost chairlift.
2022INTERSPORT
In 2022 we became a new partner of INTERSPORT.
